EDITORIAL STANDARDS / 004

How we work

01

Source first

We link to original reporting, official statements and primary documents. Claims are not treated as verified simply because they appeared in a briefing.

02

Separate fact from judgment

Every assessment distinguishes confirmed events, attributed claims, analytical inference and unresolved questions.

03

Explain confidence

High, moderate and low confidence describe the strength of evidence, not the probability of an event.

04

Correct the record

Material errors are corrected visibly, with dates and explanations. Older versions are preserved where practical.

Independence statement

Cahill Intelligence Cell is an independent civilian publication. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense, any intelligence agency or any government. All analysis uses publicly available information. No classified information or sensitive real-time operational tracking is solicited or published.

ABOUT THE CELL / 005

Experience informs the questions.
Evidence determines the answers.

Sgt Andrew Cahill · Founder & Editor

Sgt Andrew Cahill is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the Iraq War and later with 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion (MARSOC). He founded Cahill Intelligence Cell to bring a military-informed perspective to publicly available reporting. His service informs the questions he asks, but independently verifiable evidence determines the answers.

Our mission is to make strategic developments understandable without sensationalism, false certainty or partisan advocacy.
