Experience informs the questions. Evidence determines the answers.
Sgt Andrew Cahill
Andrew Cahill is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He served with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the Iraq War and later with 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion (MARSOC).
He founded Cahill Intelligence Cell to bring a military-informed perspective to reporting that is already public — and to do it without the two habits that most often degrade that kind of writing: false certainty, and the assumption that a compelling narrative is the same thing as evidence.
Mission
To make strategic developments understandable without sensationalism, false certainty or partisan advocacy.
In practice that means five standing intelligence priorities — the Middle East, Russia and Ukraine, China and Taiwan, global strategic warning, and information warfare — assessed on a regular publishing cycle, with the reasoning and the sources left visible for anyone to check.
The measure of the work is not whether a briefing reads as confident. It is whether a reader can trace each claim to its source and see exactly where the evidence stops.
After the Storm
His memoir, After the Storm, recounts his service as a Recon Marine during the Iraq War, the experiences that followed him home, and his path through family, recovery and purpose beyond military service. It is the personal story behind the perspective he brings to this publication.
